CLASSICAL DANCE WORKSHOP OPEN TO ALL!

Two days of training with Alen Bottaini, artistic director of ABA ACADEMY (founded in 2013), the first and only Italian to win the gold medal at the Varna competition.


Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of St. Petersburg, he was the principal dancer at the Bayerisches Staatsballett in Munich until the end of his career.

La prestigiosa scuola di danza per gli appassionati di sarzana

Nel 1989 il M. Bryan Poer lascia il Centro Studi Danza di Sarzana per tornare a Milano; due dei suoi allievi, i ballerini Giuseppe Gilardi e Lucia Boschi, decidono di aprire la loro scuola grazie alla cessione di uno spazio del Centro Polivalente interno all'ex Mercato Ortofrutticolo di Sarzana. Una volta restaurato l'ambiente, i due neo insegnanti danno vita al loro progetto, quella che oggi è conosciuta come la prestigiosa scuola di danza 4Movimento. La scuola di danza 4Movimento viene inaugurata il 1 ottobre 1990 dall'allora sindaco Lorenzo Forceri e dall'Assessore alla Cultura Prof. Mario Grassi, in un'evento partecipato da molti ballerini con una mostra dell'amico fotografo Fabio Gianardi, dedicata all'artista Pina Baush. Da allora la prestigiosa scuola di danza è divenuta un punto di riferimento per lo studio e la preparazione professionale alla danza classica e contemporanea in tutta la provincia di La Spezia e non solo. 
Nel corso degli anni sono molti i giovani coinvolti nelle numerose attività organizzate:

  • Spettacoli (50 all'attivo)
  • Concorsi
  • Rassegne
  • Viaggi guidati alla fruizione di importanti spettacoli in grandi teatri italiani
  • Proiezioni di filmati sulla danza
In tal modo si è creato un terreno fertile per tutti coloro desiderosi di intraprendere lo studio di quest'arte. Sono molti i giovani che, dopo aver iniziato il loro percorso alla scuola di Sarzana, hanno potuto completare la propria formazione in scuole professionali come:

The foundation of the Academy

In 1989, Mr. Bryan Poer left the Dance Study Centre in Sarzana to return to Milan; two of his students, the dancers Giuseppe Gilardi and Lucia Boschi, decided to open their own school thanks to the assignment of a space within the Multipurpose Centre inside the former Fruit and Vegetable Market of Sarzana. Once the environment was restored, the two new teachers brought their project to life, which is now known as the prestigious 4Movimento dance school. The 4Movimento dance school was inaugurated on 1st October 1990, by the then-mayor Lorenzo Forceri and the Culture Councillor Professor Mario Grassi, at an event attended by many dancers with an exhibition by the friend photographer Fabio Gianardi, dedicated to the artist Pina Baush. Since then, the prestigious dance school has become a reference point for the study and professional preparation of classical and contemporary dance in the province of La Spezia and beyond.

Over the years, many young people have been involved in the numerous activities organised:

  • Guided trips to enjoy important performances in major Italian theatres
  • Screenings of dance films


In this way, a fertile ground has been created for all those eager to undertake the study of this art. Many young people who, after starting their journey at the Sarzana school, have been able to complete their training in professional schools such as:
