4Movimento is a dance school where many professional dancers have taken their first steps, now a source of pride for the dance centre's teachers. On this page, you can also get to know them and celebrate their success together with the school staff.

Rachele Buriassi


Born in Sarzana, Rachele began studying dance at the age of four at the 4°Movimento Dance School. In 2000, she started studying at the Ecole Supérièure de Danse de Rosella Hightower after winning a scholarship in an audition. In 2002, she continued her studies at the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart, where she graduated in 2006. Rachele has participated in numerous competitions; in 2005, she won the second prize at the Tanzolymp Berlin, and in 2006, the special "Wish will" prize at the Vaganova Grand Prix Russia.

In the 2006/2007 season, Rachele joined the Stuttgart Ballet company. In 2010/2011, she was promoted to demi-soloist, and she was promoted to soloist in the 2012/2013 season.

In March 2009, Rachele Buriassi and William Moore received an invitation to the renowned Erik Bruhn Prize in Canada, where they participated with La Grande Parade du Funk, choreographed by Bridget Breiner for the occasion, and with the pas de deux from the third act of Swan Lake (John Cranko).

She is currently a principal dancer at Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal.

    Born in Sarzana on 13/04/1989, she began her studies in classical and modern dance at the age of 5 in 1995 at the school 4°Movimento in Sarzana, directed by the teachers Lucia Boschi and Giuseppe Gilardi, until 2009.

    She participated in dance performances at the Guglielmi Theatre in Massa and the Impavidi Theatre in Sarzana and deepened her training through dance workshops with dancers and choreographers such as Carl Portal (2008 and 2009), Beatrice Buffin (2008 and 2009), Fabrizio Monteverde (2008 and 2009), Bruno Collinet (2008 and 2009), Larrio Ekkson (2004, 2008, and 2009), Fura Dels Baus (2009), Samuele Cardini (2012), Paolo Granello (2012), Yoko Wakabayashi (2012), Frederic Olivieri (2008 and 2009), Margarita Smirnova (2008 and 2009), Anna Maria Prina (2016).

    In December 2008, she participated in the international competition Rapallo Danza and won a scholarship for a 4-week course with the master Vadim Desnitskj (Kirov Theatre).

    She continued her training and dance activity in the field of contemporary dance with the Compagnia Effetto Parallelo in Pisa directed by the choreographer Michele Arena and with the company Exit-Danza_t directed by Franco Cecchini, participating in all performances until 2014.

    In October 2012, she was selected as a dancer in the Officina Pisano Project, directed by Virgilio Sieni, and in April 2013, she performed in the production "Dolci Camminamenti" at the Teatro Politeama in Cascina.

    Since September 2012, she has started her teaching experience with children at the Arabesque school in Pisa, directed by Sabrina di Cristofaro.

    Since September 2013, she has been teaching at the Labulé dance school at the Centro Dialma Ruggiero in La Spezia, conducting movement and dance education courses and contemporary dance classes (from 3 and a half to 14 years old).

    Since September 2013, she has collaborated in the organization of the dance-theater festival FISIKO! within the Fuori Luogo La Spezia season, with the artistic direction of Michela Lucenti.

    In 2014, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Modern Literature from the University of Pisa.

    In December 2014, she obtained the diploma of the two-year training course in movement pedagogy at Choronde Progetto Educativo in Rome, under the artistic direction of Susanna Odevaine, to become a dance teacher in nursery and primary schools. During her training, she met and studied with international artists such as Françoise Dupuy, Marcelle Bonjour, Laura Delfini, Sabine Oetterli, Chiara Ossicini, Marina Rocco (CND Paris), Ciro Paduano.

    In the summer of 2014, she participated in the choreographic workshop "Corpo a Corpo" with the Balletto Civile company directed by Michela Lucenti and took part in the final performance at the Centro Allende in La Spezia.

    During the "Scrigni" festival in Fiano Romano, she participated in the voice and movement workshop held by Oretta Bizzarri entitled "il corpo ritrovato".

    In November 2014, she participated in the seminar directed by Raffaella Giordano at L'Arboreto-Teatro Dimora (RN).

    In January 2015, she presented and directed two educational projects in primary schools in the Province of La Spezia with the aim of spreading the discipline of creative movement within the school context: "Il corpo e l'immaginazione" and "Dalla favola al teatro".

    In the academic year 2014/2015, she participated in the choreographic project led by the dancer Marigia Maggipinto (former Pina Bausch company) at Spazio Nu (Pontedera).

    In April 2015, she staged the show "Le favole di Esopo", for which she curated the conception and choreography, produced by Ass. Labulé in collaboration with the IRCSS Stella Maris of Pisa, a third-level centre for child neuropsychiatry.

    Since March 2015, she has been participating in the "Link teatro-scuola" project (Carispezia Foundation) as a movement educator for adolescents in high schools in the province of La Spezia.

    In June 2015, she directed the staging of the show "Les Mobiles, suoni rumori colori" inspired by the works of Calder and Pollock, with the students of the Labulé dance school at Centro Giovanile Dialma Ruggiero.

    In July-August 2015, she carried out a project in collaboration with Auser La Spezia and the Municipality of La Spezia on dance and contemporary art with two groups of elderly people.

    In July and August 2015, she studied with the Balletto Civile company in residence at the Centro Dialma Ruggiero in La Spezia, training with the choreographer Michela Lucenti.

    In September 2015, she participated in the seminar with Dominique Dupuy at the Oriente Occidente Festival in Rovereto.

    In October 2015, she participated in the project "Danse, magie, poesie" at the CND (Centre National de la Danse) in Paris, for educators and dance and creative movement teachers.

    She was selected as a dancer in the three-year training project KLM/Kinkaleri - Compagnia MK - Compagnia Raffaello Sanzio and participated in all meetings in Prato, Rome, Bologna from November 2015.

    From March 2016, she curated some educational projects for children at the Civic Ludoteca of La Spezia.

    In April 2016, on the occasion of the artistic residency of the Dreamtime company in La Spezia at the Centro Dialma Ruggiero, she collaborated in the residency and participated in the lessons held by Anna Maria Prina and Stefania Ballone.

    In June 2016, she staged a choreographic project with 70 performers involving the students of the dance school and their families entitled "Gener-Azioni" on stage at the Centro Giovanile Dialma Ruggiero with the support of the association Labulè.

    In July 2016, she was selected to attend the Danceability/Teacher Training course by Alito Alessi in Vienna (from 1st to 30th July) at the ImpulsTanz festival, obtaining the Teaching Certificate of the method.

    In October 2016, she started the two-year training for dance teachers at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

    Currently, she collaborates in the realization of some of the artistic and educational projects organized by the Compagnia degli Scarti ("Scarti Factory") and the Compagnia Balletto Civile (Physical Theatre Laboratory and "How long is now" project with the elderly of the nursing homes of La Spezia – October 2016).

    Since January 2017, she brings the work of Danceability and dance education to primary and nursery schools, winning two 50-hour training projects each entitled "il corpo e l'immaginazione".

    Since February 2017, she has been included in the school-work alternation program at the T.Parentucelli Scientific High School in Sarzana for a total of 60 hours as a movement education teacher for able-bodied and disabled people (project in collaboration with Consorzio Cometa financed by the Ministry of Health).

    In September 2017, she founded the asd Les Mobiles-movement education, of which she is president.

    In December 2017, she received a grant from BANCA BCC- CREDITO COOPERATIVO to spread dance and movement education projects in schools.

    With this contribution, the project "Le favole di Esopo a Scuola" is articulated in 30 hours at the De Ghisi Elementary School in Fabiano with the final representation "ESOPO E LA DANZA".

    Since February 2018, the project DANZA E COMUNITA’ continues at the Sarzana Mission with disabled young people residing on the third floor of the structure and integrates her lessons into the REGIONE LIGURIA project- “la danza degli uomini uguali” in collaboration with ISFORCOOP-SCARTI - BALLETTO CIVILE.

    In April, together with the director Enrico Casale, she staged "UH! Versacci Futuristi", with 30 disabled young people from the REGION project.

    In June 2018, she staged the Emotions Project, inspired by the film Inside Out: "E-motion" with 30 children from after-school dance courses directed by Asd Les Mobiles- Movement Education.

    On June 26, 2018, at the end of the two-year training for dance teachers, she obtained the title of Scala method dance teacher and the authorization to teach in the first three academic years.

    In September 2018, she continues her training at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala to obtain the title of teacher in advanced courses (4-5 academic).

    She currently teaches introductory dance and classical dance courses at Centro Giovanile Dialma Ruggiero, La Spezia.

    The asd Les Mobiles collaborates with the E.GHEZZI dance school in Pisa for a danceability® project integrated with children attending the dance school and children with various abilities. The project is supervised by Dr. Bargagna, a neuropsychiatrist at Stella Maris Pisa, by educators, and by sector experts.

    He began his studies at the age of four at the 4°MOVIMENTO Dance School in Sarzana. He perfected himself through international level stages with renowned masters. In the reverse 2011 he won a scholarship that guaranteed him entry to the Summer Dance Program at the Boston Ballet School, and in the same summer he took part in the Summer Cours (London) at the English National Ballet School by selection. Thanks to a scholarship obtained from the Director of Béjart's Rudra School in Lausanne, Michel Gascard, he enters the Rudra School's professional course in two years.

    She graduated from the Ecole Supérièure de Danse de Rosella Hightower and currently dances for Pomepa Santora in the Eko Dance Internationl Project and for the Italian choreographer Matteo Levaggi.

    Born in Sarzana, she began her classical and modern dance training at the 4th Movement School in Sarzana with Lucia Boschi, Giuseppe Gilardi, and Alice Maruelli. Her encounter with Franko Schmidt, a dancer from the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, led her to the Folkwang University of the Arts, where she continues her studies. Here, she has the opportunity to deepen her study of classical technique and to learn the Jooss-Leeder technique from teachers Malou Airaudo, Lutz Förster, and Stephan Brinkmann. Since 2017, she has participated as a dancer in various projects included in the Tanzabend, Exercizium, and Junge Choreographen programs.

    Student at Lucia Boschi's Quarto Movimento school. She studied at the 'Ecole Superieure de Dance de Cannes Rosella Hightower' academy. In 2002, she moved to the "Rudra Bèjart" in Lausanne, where, in addition to classical and modern dance, she specialised in percussion, kendo, African dance, Indian dance and circus arts. She worked with Michele Arena's "Effetto Parallelo" company and Fabrizio Monteverde's "Nuova Danza" group and later until 2006 worked with Leone Barilli's "Kalinka Danza". At the same time she took part in numerous workshops and laboratories in both classical and contemporary dance, with teachers from St. Petersburg such as Vadim Desnitsky, Margarita Kullik, Bella Ratcinskaia, and in contemporary dance, contact, improvisation, with Larrio Ekson, Yasmeen Godder, Isira Makuloluwe, Laura Arìs Alvarez, Khosro Adibi, Scott Smith, Alessandro Certini and Charlotte Zerbey, and contact improvisation seminars at the Contact Festival in Tel-Aviv. Since 2007 he has worked in the Tpo company in Prato, and since 2010 he has also collaborated with the Cantiere Ikrea association. 2011/2012 She works and collaborates in new projects together with Tommaso Monza (young choreographer and dancer in the Abbondanza/Bertoni company).
